Low mpg ML350 2013
Hey guys. I am having trouble with my 2013 ML. I just got her a few months ago so I don't know how she was driving beforehand. For the few months I got her I've notice I am only getting around 11-12 mpg in the city! So ****ty. I'm taking her to the dealer for diagnostics.
Anybody have any expiernce with such low MPG?
Oh btw I recently reset the ECU using the key method, didn't much of a difference.

Depending on driving style, temperature and frequency of stops, 11-12 mpg isn't that unusual. Here in Ann Arbor, lights are timed so that you hit many reds even on the major roads with light traffic. Frequent starts and stops absolutely hammer your fuel efficiency. I've taken to switching my engine off in lieu of having start-stop, which saves quite a bit of gas because the reds are also quite long in duration. Adds about 3mpg and this isn't 1995, so your starter will be fine.
