2014 m550 loss of compression at 56k miles
Learned yesterday that cyclinder 5 has serious loss of compression at just 56k miles ( naturally 6k past powertrain warranty ). Quote to repair 12k.
Plan to turn the car in .....Don't want a MB with a rebuilt at 56k.....would expect 4 times that.. .
Any history of this early problem in 5.5 liter engines?
Any positive experience pursuing MB with costly repairs just beyond warranty?

sorry this happened to you, what you can try to do is make a case to MBUSA that what happened to you isnt supposed to happen a car that's 3 year old, it requires a lot of research and you have to either hire an attorney
who's good on this kind of law, if you win your case they might be able to pay for the rebuild or they can take the car from you as a settlement and use that towards a GLE or ML CPO if you plan to stick with the line.
