2014 ML350 bluetec
Distronic unavailable, PRE-SAFE functions Limited
Also blind spot.. ect
I bought my wife a 2014 ML350 Bluetec. It has almost every option... sport, airmatic, driver assistance, multi contour.
It has a dreaded tick, randomly when driving on the highway the Distronic unavaliable will come up. Its unavailable for about 3 minutes then it shows up on the computer that it’s avaliable again.
The dealership thinks it’s the switch in the steering column.. but it was a week away so I decided not to get it done as that diagnoses didn’t comput with me... and it’s well over 1000 dollars.. no warranty left.
I was doing a pile of research and found that the most common fix was battery replacement.
factory battery was almost 4 years old and was down to 12.20, replacement was 12.60.
That worked. Kind of. I drove it on two long drives over a week period and It didn’t come up once.
A week later it reared it’s ugly head on the next highway drive.
only comes up at highway speeds.
Any ideas?
