What is the procedure to update the navigation?
I think to purchase the latest navigation map updates (2017) from Mercedes site is around $250- what exactly do they send you? Is it a disc, usb or sd card? Can updates be done by owners or should they be done by the dealer?What are the steps to update the maps? Also how can I check to see what version map the vehicle currently has?

from my understanding you get it done at the dealer and its dealer only if your version is older than the 2016 version of comand APS. Only reason why i say is because they dont want people copying and illegally applying the updates on their own through flash drives/memory cards, i think in the newer version of command (2016 +) you can get it downloaded to your car from the website
