I have a broken front roof panel between the windshield and sunroof. Does anyone know how to remove it, without making a large mess

Were you ever able to find an answer to this? I recently had a limb fall from a free and broke mine as well. Found a used part, but unsure what is needed to reseat the glass.

I'd like to know where to buy this panel, and how to replace it. Mine is faded or oxidized. Any pointers would be appreciated.

See attached document, which outlines the procedure.

Early '14's have a composite panel, whereas later models have a glass panel, which is also the service replacement for the early composite panels.

Essentially, the thing is cut out with an oscillating saw...VERY carefully!
