'14 ML350 Bluetec sputters while creeping in traffic

Hi everyone,

I have a '14 ML350 Bluetec with 53,000 KM and noticed that ever since the weather warmed up in southern Ontario, while I am creeping in bumper to bumper traffic, as I "feather" the pedal, I notice that the vehicle tends to sputter at least 2 to 3 times before going back to normal driving characteristics.

The last time the vehicle had an oil change was at 47,000 km. Is there any indication that perhaps there may be an air leak somewhere? or an air flow sensor malfunction arising?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Are you showing any codes? Mine did that a few weeks ago and it turned out to be fuel pressure. When I swapped fuel filters I didn't get one of the hose clamps tight enough.
All fixed now and codes erased.

Interesting you mention that, I was nearing an empty tank when all of this was happening. So I filled it up yesterday and so far it has not been acting up.

I'm wondering if it was an issue with fuel pressure? Regardless I didn't have any codes.

I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks!
