Ml to gle facelift completed
I was following a few posts on this forum, decided to attempt facelift. I converted 2014 ml with xenon lights to gle63 front and back with led front lights and rear lights. I will post pictures when it comes out of the paint shop.
For the front lights I had to rewire, and replace sam.
rear lights I needed new plug connectors for outers. But it seems they changed pin out on sam for rear driver side turn signal and stop light.

I ordered logo projectors under the mirrors. Then I noticed the light does not turn on. I tried everything but still no go.
How do they usally get enabled? Or would anyone know what the feature is called in Vediamo?

you will need either resisters or someone with vediamo(star diagnostics) to change the settings not to get error codes on the dash.
Does your mirror light work? How do you activate it?

They come on when you unlock the car from the locked position. They will turn off either after a set amount of time or when you open the doors.

exhaust tips
Did you replace the rear panel with a panel from GLE 43 with the exhaust tips. Was it a just replace the lower black part of the bumper and not the whole bumper. Also, did you hook the actual exhaust pipes through the bumper and attached to chrome dual tips. I have looked at this myself and it looks like all you need is the lower black valence from a GLE 43 and replace the ones on a ML. Just need more detail on it.

it was easy. You buy new style plug for the outers lights, repin it. For reverse I found the 2 wires on the passenger side behind the light. Blue with white stripe, and ran 2 additional wires from there.

also, did yours have the 360 SVC prior to the modifcation or did you add it? does the active curve on the LED front lights work?

Keep in mind Online programming will be required. As ML has only 1 hood lock sensor, and GLE has 2. which is controlled by the SAM.

By DRL's you mean the bumper lights? You disconnect them, as the new SAM module will not have that feature. Keep in mind anyone with MB diagnostic equipment can turn off any lights in the car. The connect new headlights you will need a new GLE wiring harness or make one yourself.

when ordering diamond grill for gle, can you install it in some way on the ml?

Electric and Sam .. connectors . But works now
l will post some more pics when lm done with probably a short video to explain more details for ppl that want to do job. Thanks for sharing with us and happy for you made it up
