Replacing Lights on the running boards

I just bought a 2014 ML 350 with lighted running boards. A couple of them aren't working and need to be replaced. Any ideas how?

i saw a thread on this a while ago, dont remember when. Unfortunately you have to replace the whole strip because thats how it comes, i would say look for a independent ML shop

Easy. I bought a car with 6 dead lights. Just bought on eBay 6 original running board lights and replace them.

I had mine replaced by the dealer (warranty) and 2.5 years later same lights out on the same side... Should be a recall from what I see going on with many others with the same issue...

I never had an issue in the 3 years of ownership i had it, you may need to go to the dealer replace the whole thing from the back because the strip might not be working correctly

It was replaced by the dealer back in Feb 2018... Burned out again... What a heap... Always needing something and very expensive to own... Never had any issues like I have had with my ML350... Owned Toyota for years Chevy before that... MB is the worse record for car ownership that I have ever had... Just in the couple years I owned it, new brakes, tires within 10K after purchase and yes I purchased it pre certified with only 33K on it... New o rings for the engine turbo pipe not covered, new mass air flow sensor that cost me over $1,700 bucks all under while under warranty but still not covered and car under 45K by the time all of these things happened.. Very bad cost of ownership and poor quality... Had 4 different Toyota's and never had any issues and if I did they covered it... MB does not stand behind their product and in my opinion not made to last long at least with the 2014 model etc. I see that many other have had the same issue and me twice... This should be a recall and covered along with many other costly repairs that myself and others have complained about... Every issue I have had, many others have had the same... The only time in my life that I ever had this many problems was like 16 years ago with a KEA when they first came out... Would never by another one of those either...
