2009 ML350 - both front tires worn on the outer edges
Need your help on some opinions. I've seen both front tires worn much faster on the outer side than middle and inner edge. Searched online and saw wear and tear of front lower ball joints could cause that. Took pics of front lower ball joints, but not sure if they need to be replaced, or it's hard to tell from the pics.
Those ball joints have never been replaced before.
No essential Camber or Caster to adjust tire contact angles to resolve costly, premature edge tire wear.
We saw the need therefore to re instate from the early 90’s once again adjustment. Allowing to cater for other than showroom height conditions.
Day to day commuting encountering high cambered roads, altered height through load carrying or lowering. Wide profile tires or simply having ongoing adjustment capability for curb knock damage.
Replacing the 4 front highest wearing suspension bushings at the same time. (especially the 2 rear which are prone to prematurely pounding out and are expensive to replace) K-MAC bushes can be fitted on car as extraction tools included. – Adjustment is precise, single wrench. Unique K-MAC patented design (accurately under load – direct on alignment rack) .
For the rear there is “upper arm” Camber and Toe adjustment. Receiving requests for additional adjustment we therefore manufacture (similar to front ) replacements for the 4 lower arm (highest wearing) bushings. Also precise single wrench adjustable. Doubling the existing rear adjustment range. With bush extraction tool allowing to be also fitted on vehicle.
