Air Bag Warning Light
The seats were unplugged and plugged in again at the end of the project.
The centre seat was unplugged but it doesn't have a warning message.
I had the seats out about 6 months ago to install a tow bar and had no problems.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is causing the warning (i checked again this morning to ensure the seats are plugged in). and how to get rid of it.
On a side note there is a black wiring tail and plug on each seat but nothing to plug into. Again any ideas. i suspect it is from the seat belt buckle but can't find anything for it to plug into,

Scan the truck for codes too. May be something as simple as resetting/clearing the codes stored from when you disconnected the SRS system.
I'm away for the next week so will worry about when i come home.
Apart for the warning light it doesn't bother me as I never carry rear passengers.
I need to fit a new tailgate actuator so once that's on I'll give it to my dealer to sort out.
My dealer charged me AU $250.00 (US$200.00) to scan the car and do a tow bar wiring check which I think is cheap.

There would be 2 for the airbags and 3 for the seat belts.
This still left the two black tagged cables and I figured they are for heated seats and my car is not configured for rear heated seats. I'm thinking the heating coils are in the seats just not used.
So after removing the seats to check and putting it all back together I still have the warning light.
I'm going to give it to my local Dealer to scan and reset.
Once that's done I'll update the Forum.
On a side note I replaced the tailgate lift mechanism and now it works perfectly. At least I had 1 win today.
I used a local independent repairer who sorted the problem (fixed the fault code) and charged me $75.00 Aussie Dollars so about $55.00 US.
Pretty happy with the end result
