Two days ago, I changed the fuel filter and did a quick oil change as well. It wasn't hard to change the filter. It came out pretty smooth.

The above youtube video helped me out change the fuel filter.

Brought some new oil to test it out from Canadian Tire. They are on sale for like $30 5L

Replaced the hose clamp to regular one. Hate the OEM one

After you remove the tubo hose, you can pretty much see the entire belt, i added some belt dressing, hopefully it will prolong the life of the best

I taped the hose, so it will not drop under the engine

Cleaned my interior today, took me few hours to do it, but it turned out really good. I haven't see anyone posted on how to clean the interior, so here are the steps i did mine

I always start off with the floor mats first.

Ikea brush is the key to clean these honey cone mats

Dont forget the small trays in the cup holder and doors

Apply some soaps and let it sit for a bit

After get them cleaned, let it dry in the sun

Next, is vacuum time!

Then get a bucket of clean water and start wipe down the entire interior

I took off my aftermarket gas pedal and brake pedal. Wipe down pretty good

After get the interior wipe down with water, now try to apply rubber care to the door seals

It makes the car much quiet

Don't forget to apply both side

Here are the products i use to maintain my vehicle

Looks sexy

Nice and clean, leather seats still holding good after 200 000 km

Don't forget to clean the gaps

Leather conditioner is the key to maintain the synthetic leather. No cracks so far...

Clean clean clean

Looks good to me!

Looks great. I use the Mcguire interior detailer cleaner for the inside of my ML except for the leather seats, I've never seen the Rubber Care product you use. Will have look for it on Amazon, it looks like good stuff. Also, I notice you had the stainless steel foot rest along with the brake and gas pedal. I have the brake and gas pedal but need the foot rest. Where did you get it.?

Are those salt stains on your carpet? A trick I have is to pour hot water on the carpet repeatedly and rub with my fingers. Then Shopvac all the water out and leave the doors open over the weekend to allow the interior to dry. Carpet looks like new afterwards.

Have to try your tip for cleaning the rubber mats. I have Weathertech's and other than applying Armorall to them, have never found a way to get 'em looking jet black like yours.

The rubber care product, you can find it from Canadian Tire. I got it for around $10. There are tons other rubber care product, I am sure they all work the same.

The Stainless steel foot rest, you can get that from Ebay. Check out my point #10 in this thread, you will see I got the 3 piece from ebay for $30. I think you can just an individual piece if you want. There are 1 rubber broke off from my brake pedal, I am still debating if I should replace it or not....

Yes, those are probably salt stains. I am gonna try your method next time when I am cleaning it. It just so hard to clean and keep an eye on my kids while they riding the bike

I think there is a product you can get to dip your floor mats to super black. I just clean mine with soapy water and call it good for the day. It gonna get dirty anyway from kids candy and ice cream. If i found the youtube video again, I will share with you.

Anyone have experience installed one of these wireless charging? I honestly don't know how to wire the charger? maybe connect to the cigarette lighter ?

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3296...archweb201603_

This seems a pretty good accessories to update our ML350 to keep up with the new technologies.

Key Fob Battery

Recently my key fob went out of battery. I found my last OEM battery and decided to try some other brand of battery and see if they work. The OEM battery is like $10 ! Crazy. I removed the old battery from key fob and found out that they are Panasonic CR 2025 3V. Then i used the amazon and found the exact same battery for like $5 for 6 . Used my amazon prime membership and got the battery next day For anyone that needs to change the key fob battery, please do not buy from the dealership again, don't be stupid like me

The batteries that I got from Amazon worked perfect. No issues so far. Even they only last 6 months, I will be happy

This is gonna be my last OEM battery !

Hood Emblem

I replaced my Hood emblem last year. The old one was kinda fake (Too plastic and the mounting pin don't really line up). I decided to buy another one to replace it. Found another seller on e-bay and selling Genuine Mercedes Benz Star for $13.xx CAD with $13.xx CAD shipping fee. I brought one from him and turned out really good.

Here is the part number : A0008171601 (Make sure you get the one with 2 pins in the back, NO spring loaded! )

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/254484335837

Here is the seller Link, I think he recently jacked up the price! I will still offer him $10 USD

This is how much i paid for

Here are some picture of my old emblem, and how the new one looks like

Here is the new one! Came with 2 pins. Fits perfectly !

Here is the old one, I had to brake 1 pin because they were not line up with each other. It was horrible, had to use some 3M double sided tape to secured.

Paint Repair Kit

Recently, my car reached 210 000 km and I decided to do some paint repair.

I got the paint repair kit some Amazon for approximately $50 CAD, they are actually pretty good. Package came in very nice. Instructions was very clear.

Well packaged

All the bottles are label, even with the step number

Sorry I forgot to take some before pictures, but here are the result what it looks like after I used the touch up paint

Don't know if the picture can show the paint chip or not. I chipped the paint when I used the pressure washer

Another picture of the paint chip repaired

Here is the picture of the paint chip zoomed in. You can see it if standing like 3ft away from the vehicle. The colour was bang on!

Here is another scratched I fixed. It was a huge scratch, like it was black before. I tired to buffed out, but no luck. This time I used the paint to touch up first and buffed out after. It turned out amazing! You can still see it on the camera, but not at all in real person

Here is the link of the paint repair kit that I got it from Amazon

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06XK351ZB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B06XK351ZB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The colour that i got for my vehicle is: Diamond White - 799

Here are some tips that I want to recommend after completed the paint repair.
- Make sure you wait until the touch up is fully dry before you use the solution. This is super important! Otherwise you will just take off all the touch up paint.
- Hand some 3000 to 5000 sand paper handy, and something you can buff out the surface after, like scratch X and some wax. I had to used on my deep chip(the one i made on my door with pressure washer) to make it close to perfect.
- I got the plus kit, but i think the basic one will do the job as well.

Turbo 4matic emblem

Just recently installed the turbo 4matic emblem on my ML. I am still have mix feeling with them. Someday, they look ok, someday, not so much. I think it goes well with the carbon fiber mirror cover and the rims I picked. Here are some pictures.

It wasn't hard to install it, just have to line them up correctly

I think the way i line up with the "TURBO" letter are little different than the OEM

Can't wait to get my window trim black out!

Carbon Fiber Mirror

Just realized i forgot to upload my carbon fiber mirror install in this thread. I ordered a set of carbon fiber mirror from this ebay seller. They are not the best in fitment, but the quality is pretty good. Here is the link of the ebay seller that I used

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/2-Carbon-Fib...72.m2749.l2649

I think the price went up. I paid $150 CAD and now he wants $250 :S

I only paid $150

Overall the installation was pretty simple. There are youtube video online that helped me out a lot

Here are the comparison between the OEM mirror and the carbon fiber mirror

Here is the led light

I added 3m double sided tape to reinforce the light. Again, the fitment are not perfect, but with little bit of 3m tape, it make it way better

I broke one of the clip on the OEM mirror when I removed Hopefully I can still sell it and recover some of the cost for the OEM carbon fiber mirror

Here is the fitment issue, there is a tiny gap if you really pay attention to it. I cannot get the gap close. Now i just ignored it after a while. Is it a really big deal. Not really. It just I am little bit OCD during the installation process. Out of sight, out of mind .. i guess.. not much i can do about it.

This is the quality issue. There suppose to be a gap in here. It doesn't look that bad in the picture. In real person, you can't barely feel the gap. The thing is, it only happen on the passenger side mirror, but not the driver side. I guess i shouldn't expect much when I only paid $150 for a pair :S

Overall, I am happy with the carbon fiber mirror cover upgrade. It really changed the appearance of the look of my vehicle. I just wish the fitment and quality can be little bit better. It just so hard to tell which seller on eBay have better qualify of stuff.

I recently re balanced my tire and few days ago, i finally got a chance to re-torque the wheels. It is kinda PAS to re-torque my wheel since I have to take the cover off

These aftermarket cover, the fitment are not too good. Have to add some lubricant to make it smooth secure.

I also added some air to my tire. What kind of PSI you guys running right now. In where I live, the weather will start to get cold really fast. I changed my tire pressure to 42 psi in the front and 46 in the back. I am gonna put few thousands km on it and see if there is a uneven wear on the tire. I normally run 40 psi in the front and 44 psi in the back. Also, don't forget to add air to your spare tire, mine was down 12 psi :S

When I added air to my spare tire, i realized there is a slot open. Maybe i have a missing tool ?

I put some latex glove in it, so my hands can stay clean next time i had to change spare tire

I really think that I have a missing tool. If someone can check for me. that will be great

Finally, I forgot to upload the picture that I debadged my ml and the chrome strip on the tail gate. I think it looks so much cleaner

I think i am pretty much done for modification for this year, maybe I will black out few more trims, then I will call it good for this year. I am eyeing on the following diffuser , i think it will make my car look so great. I am probably gonna paint it black before I install it

The ebay sellers wants $1100 CAD :S

When I have time next year, I probably will start to remove the DEF tank. Then order the diffuser, install the diffuser by myself. After that, will probably get a magaflow muffler and get a shop(Probably gonna use Sam) to help me finish the job.

Then mine will look like something like this. Hopefully it will sound amazing as well

The space or hollow out in you spare trunk rea is for the special lug nuts/wheel bolts needed to mount the spare /emergency tire. I can send you a pic from my iPhone but don't know how to load it to this computer.

As for the turbo emblems, I think they look good on your car and if you are able to get the dual exhaust pipe on rear that great . Not sure if it will work. I looked at putting the lower exhaust facia on mu 2015 ML359 from a ML63, but it looks like you need the entire bumper assembly I found one on eBay for 1,000 dollars which would really look good but expensive. keep us updated on that project.

I noticed on your ML the lower panel behind the rear wheel is painted same as the body color. My it is black textured plastic. I like the white better. I ended up painting my black textured rocker white to match the car but have not got around to the rear part yet.

You have made your car unique to you with the grille and many other modifications. I put a diamond grill in my 2015 ML350 and I can always tell it when I see it. Kinda neat.

Thanks guys for checking for me. I have those lug nuts on the side. So I guess my spare tire was probably used before.

I did a MPG test today. My ML think he can still do another 1472km after i drove 100km lol

The best i ever got was 5.5L/100km

Ok let see who can beat my range record

New D1S bulbs from amazon

Just got a set if new d1S bulb from amazon. They are just the $35CAD aftermarket one. The OEM one are still working fine on mine. It just i want little bit more white. I got these bulbs at 6k colour. I may give a try for the 8k one.

The reviews on Amazon are pretty good. Got like 4/5 stars

Package are ok. If OEM one failed, this maybe a good alternative to save money

I used this compound to clean my headlight after i sand it down with 3000 and 5000 grid.

Nice and clean

The following YouTube video helped me out installed the bulbs.

Overall the process was super easy. Just some of the clips are super tight, which is normal for MB. My drive side bulb was stuck good. Took me a few try before i can take it off. Cant wait to test these bulbs!!

I did a test drove this morning. I will attach some pictures after. The results of the new light bulbs was not bad, special it only $35. They are a lot more white compare to the OEM bulbs. Somehow, the $35 bulbs had a wider range than the OEM. Now i can see the ditch a lot more easy. However, the OEM bulbs has strong high beam output. Overall, I am happy with the bulbs, but i won't keep them on my vehicle. If your OEM bulbs are out and you don't want to spend that much of money on the bulbs, these are great alternative.

So here are my options left if I want to keep upgrading my light
1) OSRAM Xenarc Cool Blue Boost D1S Xenon Car Headlight Bulbs Twin 7000K

2) XENPLUS D1S D1R LED Headlight Bulbs Conversion Kit, Directly Replace Original HID Xenon Bulbs, 35W 6000K 8600LM 360°Emitting 100% CANbus

Amazon Amazon

3) D1S Led Headlight Bulbs Conversion Kit 100% Decoding 360° Luminous 8200LM 6500K 35W D1S Led Headlights Replace OEM Xenon Bulbs

It looks so much brighter in the picture. It not that bright in real person

I found this set of $30 bulbs can see the ditch so much better when it in high beam

Here is what low beam looks like

Ordered from Amazon.ca for about $160 CAD + $16 dollars for 2 years insurance. These light bulbs only comes with 2/5 life rating.

Here is the dust cover. The LED with the convertor do not fit for our vehicle. The adaptive headlight needs all the room to move. The led dust cover has to modify in order to fit the led conversion kit. I did a quick ebay search, they are like $60, no thanks. Not gonna modify my dust cover to just try it out the LED headlight

You can clearly see the difference between the new bulbs and the old bulbs

Overall, i am happy with the colour of the new OSRAM CBB bulbs. The white colour are a lot better than the $30 one. I am gonna do few more night of driving and report it back.

Are you in Montreal or surrounding area? Guessing no, very few homes around here have concrete driveways. I saw an ML with an identical grille here a few days ago, thought of you right away...
