Android auto and Carplay without new screen?
Has anyone tried this?

If I am reading it right, it does not require a replacement of the display and provides Carplay and Android Auto.

Wow, looks pretty cool. From what I can tell, it installs inline between the car wiring and existing car display. I think similar boxes use the back arrow and OK buttons (near the control wheel on your console) to switch the box on or off. When it’s off, you have all the regular car systems.
So not sure how they’re doing camera inputs.. maybe their box takes the camera inputs when the car is placed into reverse.
I’d be interested to see the user interface and how “factory” it looks when you use it.
Some concerns for example:
The existing backup and 360 deg camera screens work well. But does this box just take rear video and show it (which would be a downgrade)
It uses AUX to inject audio into the car. So if I switch back to the OEM system and change it to FM radio for example, do I need to put it back in AUX mode before switching back to the car play box? These types of things will drive my wife mad so I don’t want to install it if it isn’t close to a factory like xperience. For example, having no audio (because you forgot to put it in AUX) will be a problem....
Would be interested to see it in operation if you end up buying one. I’m nearby (Oakville)
