Keyless go sensor
Hello, so my driver door keyless go does not work on my 2015 ML. The driver door handle does not lock nor unlock doors, but others work perfectly fine. Can someone give some advice, please? Does it have two sensors (one for unlocking and another one for locking) if so would both go bad at the same time? If this is the case I guess the handle does not need to be replaced and there is something else?

The components are:
- four antennae
- four door handles
- a control module or two
If three out of four doors are working, the premise is the antennae and modules are functioning, and that you have a bad door handle. Try google search or the search button on this site, this comes up from time to time.
Have you read codes with a DAS Xentry system? Is your fob battery fresh? Is your vehicle battery fresh? The door handle is in the neighborhood of $230, a new vehicle battery costs less than that. I would say they are equally easy to replace.
Suggestion is be confident of your battery condition. Then replace the door handle.

yes, everything is fresh and no codes show up so I'm guessing I will have to replace the handle. Does it have to be programmed with the key? or just connecting it to the module will work?

WIS says nothing about programming. The final step in the procedure is "perform function test", with no procedure listed for the function test. To me this means a simple test of basic door handle function.
