Anyone get the recall letter?

I am just happy MB is willing to do them still.
i did not get the letter on my '16 GLE, but i had been dealing with a "clunk" coming up the steering column for several years. (i might have posted).
it was in many times for several weeks of service. service could not come up with anything and since it was leaning to "that's the way it's made" (and warranty was expiring) i was starting to move away form MB as a brand. had been looking at replacements for about 6 months. my timing was that i couldn't do a replacement until summer 2020 so had to get it in for a couple new tires in November (couldn't wait) in what was going to be it's last service ever by me, did the oil also, but bypassed a bunch of mileage indicated items. they said they had the recall and they would have to to that also. fine with me.
lo and behold, "clunk" gone. and after several thousand miles, still holding up. no swap out planned for the future and it will get back in for the bypassed service items when i get a chance.
not sure what the moral of the story is, but don't stay quiet on anything you don't feel is operating correctly.
i've wandered, i'm sick, sue me.
