Tyres for comfort!?
I bought a 14 350 AMG recently.
I love the car with it's £20k of extras, but I'm not sure if can live with the harsh ride, I can feel every bump in our rubbish UK roads.Tyres are original Continentals.
It's Airmatic and I have replaced a rear shocker.
In older threads I see that some owners have replaced the Continentals with tyres which give a softer ride, Michelin Latitudes?
Can anyone suggest any tips to soften the ride and/or suggest what latest tyres would help.
Absolute priority is comfort over wear, handling or even price.
Need to sort it or it's going!
I had a 12 year old Kia Sorento which rode better!
Thanks.
If that doesn’t solve it, get Michelin Premier LTX.
Wonder if it's worth trying Premiers on the rears first (tyres are all at 7mm) and a bit pricey! Any market for used rubber?
Also the load rating on the Premiers is 107, is that a bit high, make a difference? It's never fully loaded.
Thanks
Replaced at 30,000 miles with Michelin Defender LTX M/S...almost as smooth and quiet as the Premiers and they should last longer.
Not concerned about wear, just looking for a smooth ride.
Did your 350 ride harsh before you changed tyres?
