Hey everyone, I just picked up a 2013 ML550 to use as a tow vehicle as my Tesla dies after about 80 miles with 1,000 pound load. I picked up a one owner ML550 from San Diego that was exclusively serviced at MB San Diego. Great condition, minor clunk up front, minor oil leak on the front covers, but besides that— all good. I was wondering if anyone had a picture of their ML with the same wheels I have, but in black if so please post a picture. Not planning on any crazy mods, I come from a G550 so I’ll definitely be adding all terrains. Thanks all, happy to be here.
My neighbor had a GLE350 with P3 on it, not sure which year but it was a W166 chasis that had the AMG's in black as your asking. He literally just turned it in, it was a lease. A day or two behind, Sorry.
I have those same wheels on my ML550. They are daimond cut with silver painted inside spokes with a clear powder coat over top. If you are changing color, that powder coat has to come off first, and then powder coated and baked back on after color change. Make sure you find a place that actually can handle that and not just a paint shop. Agree with earlier poster...those only came in silver on ML550. AMG may have had them with dark grey where the silver painted parts are on interior/low spots. I had mine refinished after Discount Tire chipped the clearcoat during tire install, in a high-end wheel shop...they can only mechanically remove the powder on the diamond cut flat surfaces, not the interior spots.
