Replacing front central air vent tabs on 2015 W166 ML350
Looking for a bit of help here. Checked YouTube but couldn't find anything directly related. One of the vent tabs on my front right center air vent broke. I ordered the correct replacement part, guess the front air vent tabs are somehow different than the front lt/rt side air vent tabs?
The question is: Do I have to remove the entire AC control panel and the radio/CD panel and unit to get those central air vents out to replace that tab? I was able to remove the thin chrome cover around that front right central air vent but couldn't see any "inside" tabs to release that would allow that single vent to come out? I've reviewed a few YouTube vids that show removing the stack and then pulling the central vent unit (has both vents in it) but haven't seen anything for just removing that single vent. There are YT vids on removing the side air vents but those have release tabs inside.
Hoping there's some help out there?
Cheers!
