Front wheel noise after impact
After damaging my front right tire in a pothole, I am getting some sort of slight humming noise after replacing the wheel/tire. It can only be heard inside the cabin, and gets louder the faster you go, the sound is not constant, but it's intermittent on rotation. (I am sure bystanders cannot hear it) It's definitely not the tire rubbing, I had a local mechanic do a quick inspection, he thinks its probably something in the brakes, or possible the wheel bearing. Thoughts? The ML has air ride, and 37282 miles.

My guess.... bearing. You state front right wheel was damaged...When you turn left does it increase in sound? If so, it's because you're now loading the front right wheel bearing in the corner. Maybe test/try it out!
Edit: or the person that change out the wheel didn't care to lift the wheel out and 'smacked' the thin metal cover over the disc, and now the disc is rubbing slightly.

Yes, it was replaced with a new rim and tire. I haven't noticed if the sound gets worse on left turns, it does however start to show up around 20mph. I will try it out though. Again, the sound isn't constant, it's intermittent with the rotation of the wheel, suggesting its coming from a specific spot. I assumed a bad wheel bearing would make more of a constant sound.
