Sigh. Spending $285 for exactly the same thing you would achieve by stepping on the throttle pedal a little quicker. 
There are at least two more performance upgrades you absolutely have to buy and install - the https://www.shakti-innovations.com/p.../shakti-stone/ and https://www.tornadoair.com/. The performance improvements will be exactly what you've been looking for... guaranteed!

It's silly and ignorant to say just step on the throttle a little quicker .
There is a reason why these work when used to overcome drive by wire throttle lag and in other cases they don't make an improvement as in Dick Bipes white paper and a you tube video on a Nissan GU patrol on a dyno .
But very few people have worked out why this is !!

Totally irrelevant (the "info" was not based on a Mercedes and specifically not on W166 ML/GLE). Most MBs originally designed prior to say 2015 do greatly benefit from SB/Pedalbox (or like devices). All 3 W166 MLs/GLE I have/had benefitted significantly as did pre-facelift R213 SL, pre-facelift W212 sedans (had 4) and pre-facelift C218 CLS. While I did not drive facelift 2017-on R231 SL nor facelift 2016-on W218 CLS, the facelift W212 2014-on no longer required the device, neither does W213 (had several and response is significantly improved over W212).
Since this is W166 section, the W166 GLE facelift of W166 ML from 2016-2019 did not improve pedal response at all, hence SB/PedalBox is required IMHO on all W166s including 63AMGs.
