DPF Cleaning
Hi All , has anyone attempted to clean their DPF on a ML 250 Bluetech W166 , I have a soot code and limp mode. Is it possible to take off the soot sensor at the DPF and pump in some cleaner ? Wondered has anyone tried this and knows the procedure. Many thanks

Have you try forcing the DPF regen manually? the problem may have occured due to short distance driving and not letting the engine reach operating temperature. I have Autel MP808 scanner for manual regen. If you are in Toronto, I will be more than happy to help you.

Can you get this over there? Used it on my Alfa 159 and my friends ALFA Giulia.......it took the blockage percentage down in my 159 from over 80 (regens were only taking it down to 50 or 60%) down to 5%...which is about as low as it goes. You take the DPF off block the holes, fill it with the chemical and leave it 24 hours before you rinse it out and dry and refit. My DPF in my 159 is still going strong at 164,000 miles! Ive only used the cleaner once...at about 130,000 miles....still regens down into the 20s!
