Howdy -- I'm been trying to find the source of an intermittent turbo underboost that stymies travel by putting car in da limp mode and activates the engine check light. It happens without any hint of an oncoming problem and it goes away after I stop, shut off car and restart it. The engine check light goes out after several miles of driving.
I've also noticed that, most of the time, the car is a little wimpy on take off but there are occasions when it's strong on takeoff and seems more responsive upon acceleration at all speeds.
I've reset the electronic throttle control manually and using an iCarSoft MB V2.0 analyzer -- the reset using the MB V2.0 worked at first but the wimpy takeoff and improved acceleration didn't last.
The only code I've found so far is P0299, turbo underboost. I've read a whole lot of posts regarding similar problem/symptoms but feel like I need to get help from some specialist at
www.cartechconnect.com and want to know if anyone out there has had experience with CarTechConnect.
