P1CCF Fuel pressure
My 2013 ML350 has had a hard crank for a month. Then, it started losing power and misfiring with a bunch of related codes and was running lean. I brought it to the dealer and suggested I had a fuel pump problem. They fixed a vacuum leak, then said I needed two injectors, they replaced those, then put it back together and said I needed a third injector (somehow this went bad in the process? Makes no sense to me.) All in all, it cost me around $3500 to drive away from the dealer for that problem.
ONE day later, the same long crank and fault code P1CCF.
I bring back to the dealer and they tell me it's an unrelated problem and now my high pressure fuel pump is bad and they want $1500 to replace it.
Does anybody think the injectors were actually bad or were they just not getting enough fuel pressure in the rail from a faulty fuel pump?
I started having a long crank so I put in some seafoam hoping to clean things up. About a half tank later starting getting random misfires and misfire on 3,4,5,6 and p1ccf. Took it to shop and they said it was #3 fuel injector and changed spark plugs. Got it back and same day as soon as it idles throws CEL again for random misfire and p1ccf again.
I had it pop up once 2 weeks ago, and that one time it idled lower at cold start, but no performance issues. I surmised it was due to a old battery since I also occasionally when it was cold it wouldn't shift into reverse. Would have to turn the car off and back on. That too is a low voltage issue.
So the new battery is great and it goes into eco mode and turns off at lights a lot more often and for longer. I would say if your eco mode turns the car on while still at a red light you might have an aging battery too.
That all said in the background (no check engine light) if I scan the code still remains. Again how long should that take to clear does anyone know? It's been almost 2 weeks I would guess over a hundred fifty miles for sure, and at least 20 plus on and off. CEL only that once. Performance is phenomenal. Gas mileage is great.
