2015 ML 350 4 Matic -Just the other day the buttons on right side of wheel are not working after just over a year after purchase. Left side works for selecting category but right side (up/down & phone) aren't working. read several posts for cleaning goo but not replacing. A few posts show removal of center wheel involving disconnecting battery (airbag ) so on. Since moving to SW Fla the dealers gauge & give run around stock answers. Bought extended warranty bit seems to only cover major mechanicals. Any help appreciated

Certain there was no spill on it, say Coke, coffee, hot chocolate. It only needs a little bit for them to stick or for poor contact.
Either fixing or replacing implies:
1 - Battery disconnect
2 - Air Bag removal (see youtube videos)
3 - A Torx screwdriver, and perhaps give a try with electric contact cleaner once disconnected and try again, fingers crossed.
4 - otherwise, install a new one.
