Oil Leak! Mechanic: Brake Vacuum Pump or Benz: Left Side Valve Cover Gasket Leak?
Dear MB Lovers,
Who is right re: OIL LEAK?
on a ML550 2015.
Mechanic: Brake Vacuum Pump (much cheaper to fix); or
Benz Dealer: Left Side Valve Cover Gasket Leak?
Mechanic: $1.5; and
Benz Dealer: $4.2!
Big difference, both said 'oil leak' and to fix it I received totally different pricings and different'ish diagnosis, who is right here? Are those things 'brake vacuum pump' and 'left side valve cover gasket' connected to each other?
Help would be APPRECIATED

Hope you are aware these engine use lot of plastic components; therefore, some may be toasted already and may break without fault of the mechanic and will be added to the bill if not in their estimate

No pics. Oil leak was discovered at around 115,000kms. Car is in great shape no lights went on.
I just don't know if quote from Mercedes dealer or mechanic is correct.

Every mechanic is telling me different things, I hope the mechanic is right as cheapest option, would be so happy to get some thoughts on it!
