ML550 Sky Window Rattle on Bumpy Roads
Dear @Leetom
I read it's a common issue that the sky window makes some noise when driving on Bumpy Roads after time.
It had been fixed a few months ago, they greased it I think, at Mercedes Benz, but now it's back again. The sound is so annoying
!Don't want to go back to Mercedes as they charge quite a bit, can I do it myself, fix the sky window on my ML550? Anything helps, and what would I need to purchase in order to fix it
myself?Thanks so much!

Does it sound metallic, or plastic rattle?
Here is a video for the W212, hope it helps at least to differentiate if the noise comes from outside, or inside.

Thanks so much, definitely can't work on it as much as I am not a great tool guy
!It's more like a "glassy" sound, not really metal at all, maybe more plasticy, but would say 'glassy'-plasticy sound. I think Mercedes put some grease on it and then the sound was gone. I wonder what grease I should buy and apply?

..Noooooo.. Those usually collect dust, dirt and it will create a mess later on.
Maybe I can buy this directly from Mercedes (car dealer).
Appreciated @juanmor40 - really appreciated, will have to get it here in Canada.

The original tub cost @US$100, and it is about 0.5Kg. You may need to lubricate all your friend's cars for years to run out of it. That is why some people, part it into smaller containers @0.5 oz and sell it to those who need only a bit.

Please do not do that of putting the tub on top of the paint.
That is how scratches start, by a small mistake.
