I have a 2014 ML400. My car car has a problem with the sound system
the audio is distorted
(i don’t have the high end harman/kardon sound system)
does anyone have a solution?

 

Sounds like you are not getting a strong enough radio signal to capture the broadcast. Does it do this outside driving around? How about with other stations? If the answer is yes, it does it in other locations and with other stations, I'd check out the antenna connections first (which would require pulling the head unit out to see back, and also the antenna shark fin on the top). I have not done this, so you could check youtube.

 

I didn't know there was a 2014 ML400; I've seen posts that called "2015 ML400" redundant, as the 2015 was the only ML400. I didn't hear any volume at all on your clip but I'll try another computer. I'd start by having it autotune stations to see if it even stops on that one; like Leeton said, the signal may not be strong enough.

 

It doesn’t matter if it was radio or Bluetooth it always has that sort of static noise

 

What mods are on this car? How long have you owned it?

 

no mods at all... and I've had the car for about 3 years now
