Sleeping Platform for sale - SEATTLE area
It's in three parts: the back part is solid and not collapsible and fits in the trunk with the back seats in their usable position; the two front parts can fold up and lay on the top of the back part for easy transportation, or ride with them installed (they have a folding part so that you can have front seats at normal position). I made the two front parts 60/40 split so that I could travel with my kid in the back seat while the other side was installed. If traveling alone, I would install this at home and when I got to my camp site it would take about 3 minutes to set up my bed. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of this all folded up in the car, or the 60/40 split front part.
This thing is really great, but I've sold my ML350 and the person who bought it didn't want this. I put about $120 of wood and hinges into this, plus many hours making CAD models and constructing it. If you were to get someone to make this for you, I'm sure they'd charge $500 to $800. I just want to recoup the money from materials and give it to someone who will use it. So I'm asking $120. Not sure if this is the place for this type of post!
