ML350 (W166) DOOR ACTUATOR needs replacing
The right rear door actuator on my 2015 ML350 needs replacing. Can this be easily done as a DIY? Has anyone ever successfully done this that you could offer some tips? About how long did it take you? Where did you order the part? Dealership is quoting $740 (part =$270 +2hrs labor -$470). A week ago door started making a machine gun sound every time the car doors lock or unlock.

How did it go with the repair?
Questions:
1. Did you only have one bad or both?
2. Was it just noise in your case or was the door lock not locking?
3. Did you do DIY? How was it?
In my case the lock moves up and down but you can still open the door when the lock is in the lock (down) position. No abnormal noises.
