Weird noise, possibly brakes???

Five months ago my brake sensor came on and sure enough the pads were low. I had no noises and nothing was scraping rotors, just low pads. I took it to my local independent mechanic I've been going to for 15 years. They've always been honest and fair. They installed Akebono Euro pads and since I was (and still am) cash strapped, they said they could resurface the rotors once, they were in good shape. After the brake job, everything worked great.

Five months later, I suddenly have a bad noise happening right before coming to a full stop. It's an intermittent noise that gets slower until I come to a full stop. The noise is at it's worst when the car is cold and seems to lessen after use. It's not a metallic sounding noise and I don't feel anything, only hear it.

I'll be taking it back to the shop this week. Any ideas as to what this likely is? Thanks

Could just ne a pebble stuck between the pad and rotor - it happens...might be that easy...
I have been able to just go in reverse and ta the brakes kinda hard and that pops it out...

Cheers

Interesting. I'll give it a try. It would sure be nice if it was something that easy!
