Repeated engine misfires and coil failure
Since a couple months ago, the engine started occasionally misfiring with a blinking check engine light. The misfires usually went away after restarting the car and the check engine light will go away. Except one time the check engine light stayed on and it recorded codes P035113, P030085, P030185 for cylinder 1 misfiring and ignition coil 1 failure. I took it to a closer by mechanic and he replaced the coil. Unfortunately, the misfiring still happens after replacing the ignition coil and the mechanic is not willing to diagnose and fix as there are no persistent codes (as the blinking check engine light goes away after restarting). Today, after another engine misfire, I got persistent codes P0302, P0352 for cylinder 2 misfiring and ignition code 2 failure. I am planning to go to a new mechanic but wondering if anyone know what could be the cause here so I can be more informed when talking to the mechanic? I did notice the misfire happened at both high and low speeds but slightly more often over uneven surface or when climbing hills. I also had a blow out and replaced the right front tire with a tire from different brand/model than the rest and wondering if different thread depths between tires could be causing this?
