white smoke when starting engine in the morning
Hi, i have ml350 bluetec 2013 86k miles on it, can you guys check the video when i start the car in the morning there is a little smoke but during the day no smoke at all, is this normal ..thanks

Many possibilities
There are tons of possible causes. Your DPF might be building up solid chemicals that do not burn away during regeneration. It could simply be settling of oil in the combustion chambers due to scorced cylinders. This is normal with an engine of high miles or if your engine has had too many short trips, the emissions process can make this engine wear faster.

Here is the best video I have fouind describing the complex emissions system and how it wil shorten your engine life by putting unburnt soot back into the engine as well as allowing diesel fuel to get moixed with the oil. This is why it is critical to change the oil every 5000 miles and know when the DPF doews a regeneration cleaning.
