Exclamation OM651 Injector recall

Hello everyone !

Do any of you have any experience with ML 250 Bluetec / Blueefficiency regarding injectors?

I have mine with Delphi piezo injectors. Currently are broken. Mercedes-Benz says that service action 07921 was done successfully and it was not possible to swap piezo injectors for solenoid injectors.

This means that the piezo injectors are no longer possible to buy because they are no longer available and are registered as defective. It is also not possible to install solenoid injectors because service measures have been completed.

Car has been broken like this for almost a year. I don't know what to do anymore. Mercedes-Benz doesn't want to hear about my car anymore and has said it will be better to thrown it away as trash.

Can someone tell me something or help me? I would like to check the workshop sheet for action 07921 but I can't find it... I only found one but for W204 / W212...

Best regards

Hello my friend, thank you for your response. I already know about your answer. That is exactly what i described in the first post.

I’m a master technician as well. But for this car the Mercedes guys in Maastricht are very unprofessionnal and have no idea about what’s going on.

It was a war for me for the past 2 years calling Mercedes dealers, Maastricht everyday, lawyers, etc…

It’s simply like that : recall is registred as « done » for my car. The procedure stays that if my motor ECU has a certain type of cable, then nothing is necessary to do.

The reality is as simple as that. The car is still parked in front of my house for nothing…

I can see from the photos that the failed recall a wiring replacement at the injectors has been done, after that recall Merc brought out another recall which includes new injectors with leak off pipe and new ECU,that is the recall you require to fix your problem, talk directly to mercedes Benz customer service as the dealership doesn't seem to know what is needed

My friend, i tried to call all the Mercedes Customer Services i could find… the principal customer service is in Maastricht. All the people i talk to didn’t knew what i was talking about… this recall is near 10 years old and the people actually working at Mercedes dealer or customer service were not there 10 years ago. So they only presume i’m a crazy customer and don’t help me with nothing. I tried to explain to everyone but nobody want to understand or find a solution.

What would you do if you were in my situation ?

I feel like i’m the only guy having a W166 ML 250 year 2011 with this problem, this motor and these injectors. That’s like unbelieveable that i’m the only guy having this issue.

I dont’t understand why i’m the only one. This is a great car, even with the other knows problems but it’s really like nobody has this car anymore. Are they currently all in the scrapyard ?

The only answer the customer service said to me is : the car is more than 10 years old and you already have 200’000 km on it. We don’t pay anything and you need to find your solution alone. Like the reference for the bad injector actually exist, they said go to the dealer replace.

But i perfectly know that the dealer has no idea from this problem, this recall, and the reference for the bad injector exists, you can order it but you don’t recieve it cause it’s qualified as forbidden reference to sell. Normally it’s replaced with new parts when you attach the special code 79o to the VIN. The code that i don’t have cause they didn’t do the appropriate recall.
