Blind Spot Indicator Fail
"B280C The output for the indicator lamp 'Blind Spot Assist' has a malfunction. There is a short circuit to positive or an open circuit."
Then your Blind Spot Indicator LEDs in the side mirror may have failed.
The part you can find to replace is basically the entire sideview mirror glass but it is really expensive, even used, especially with heating and dimming. I thought I would try to fix it instead.
Here is how I fixed mine.
- The LEDs looked fried so I found what looked like a replacement. Ordered from Digikey. Replaced carefully with soldering iron using ESD protection. Polarity is very important!
- The LEDs actually have 2 LEDs in each component (Amber and Red)
- The first replacement was too dim so I tried another
- The second try seemed just right. This part is a 2.1V forward voltage at 30mA
- MFG : AMS-OSRAM USA INC. (VA)
- PART: 475-LSYT67B-R2T2-1-0+S2U2-26-0-30-R18-ZCT
- Unfortunately, this part is EOL
- Sprayed circuit board with clear conformal coat and reassembled mirror.

These are the LEDs. Notice the dark area (failed) inside the upper left LED.
