2012 ML 350 Key Fob Lock Button Not Working
Hello Everyone- My 2012 ML350 key fob lock button is not working all of a sudden. All other buttons work with tiny red flash lights coming on fob except for lock button. I am not sure if it’s the fuse or what else need to be done? I replaced the battery (although it wasn’t in my opinion since I do get the message on the dash if that was required) but that did not help. Any ideas what may be the issue?

Defective FOB Keys
The dealer just told us to start looking at the "underbelly of the internet" to find solutions for FOB keys that they have determined are defective. They cannot replace them for less than $800. Furthermore, the keyless start button is also inoperable and they cannot fix it due to a patent issue. Then they also warned us that if we find solutions, often times they will not work or render the vehicle totally inoperable. Why does a storied manufacturer like MB abandon their vehicles this way? Does anyone have solutions? Do others have similar stories about their key fobs?
