PCV

Can anyone tell were and how to replace the Positive Crank Case (PCV) also referred to as the Engine Oil Separator on my 2015 W166 ML400 4 matic, SUV with a 3.0 L V6, M276 DE30 LA, Twin Turbo. I think the part no is 2760107111 and it's located under the intake manifold. Lots out there on M276 DE35 naturally aspirated. Can't find much of value for the M276 Turbo. I have a turbo coolant leak under the intake manifold and the shop says I should replace the PCV while fixing the leak. They are estimating about $1,500 CND including the PCV. I'm trying to evaluate if this is a DIY project or if $1,500 will be money well spent.

Thank JCM for the lead, lots of good info pertaining to the PVC system on W212 forum, however nothing specific about removal and replacement of PCV. Lots of YouTube videos on the M276 DE35 Naturally Aspirated, can’t find anything on the M276 DE30 Twin Turbo.

Ask directly. @S-Prihadi will love to explain it. He has disassemble his car many times, and has knowledge of this particular variant since he owns a E400 coupe.

Thanks again JCM, between S-Priladi's posts and a YouTube video I've figured out how to remove the intake manifold and PCV/Oil Separator system. I am now trying to find a flow diagram of the turbo cooling system. The repair shop said my turbo fluid was leaking under the intake manifold, consequently the intake manifold needs to be removed and as preventive maintenance I should also R/R the PCV/Oil Separator system for a total estimate cost of $1,500cnd. The shop told me that the turbo coolant system is totally independent from the engine cooling system and for some reason there is a part of the system under the intake manifold, however I have not been able to see this on my engine or in any of the research I've done on this form or YouTube videos. Again not much on my 3.0 L V6, M276 DE30 LA, Twin Turbo, I've also been searching parts suppliers like FCP Euro. Any help in this regard would be appreciated. I want to confirm what the shop is telling me and to determine if this is a DIY project or would the $1,500 be money well spent.

Thanks JCM. What a great video specific to the M276 Turbo and how not to work on an engine. Especially with a crow bar!! Video did provide clarity on the removing the PCV/Oil Separator system. I didn't see any turbo coolant lines that could be leaking under the intake manifold as suggested by the mechanic. I'm now also doubting the mechanics comment about the turbo coolant system being totally independent from the main engine. My ML400 has an electric auxiliary water pump (PN A000500386) that looks like it's connected to the turbo and main engine cooling system. Trying to find a flow diagram or a schematic..

Eric, the YouTuber, runs a used parts business. So you see how he throws everything around, .

Master Surya rarely posts outside the W212 forum, but I recall him mentioning the auxiliary pump once. He may be able to get you the diagram out of his WIS installation.
