I just purchased a 2014 ML350 Gas RWD with 131k miles.
Don't know much about these SUVs, but vindecoder showed that it has keyless go (push button missing), parking package, and bunch of safety features.
I got it was $6500, so it comes with bunch of issues. I just have couple questions.
I noticed it has cameras front, under mirrors, but could not find one on the back. Where is it? Or mine is just missing?
Radio is broken, dealer said he already checked fuses in fusebox and on the radio itself. So I'll have to fix it or replace it. Can you help with any information you mgiht have? Any place that does repairs? My understanding is you can not just put another used stereo without programmning, right?
It does have rough idle, but accelerating fine, no check engine light. Maybe previous owner used 87 gas, but not sure yet.
These cars require a good MB-aware scanner, and if it is bi-directional, the better.
You can try getting a clone version of XEntry (dealer software), or a reasonably priced commercial scanner. Here is one several people has been using recently
Thanks for your reply and suggestion. I actually do have a good Topdon professional scanner. Here is the results. Backup camera is working, I had no idea it pops out lol
Pretty much main thing that is not working is the radio. Screen is off and response to anything. Dealer told me he tried replacing the screen and checked all fuses. I'll double check that, but its a good chance radio is down. I wonder if my topdon can program new "used" radio to the vehicle.
Another question, windshield is cracked so I'll need to get it replaced. The vehicle does have lane assist, blind spots warning etc. Do you know if new windshield will need to be calibrated?

100% windshield has to be calibrated due to those systems.

All worked fine after replacing the windshield, nothing on dashboard popped up.

Good deal. Well if you have the parking feature (park assist) the one way you know is on your dash is your moving under 20mph you have a blue "P" icon that is on. It will show between the time and temp.
The other thing you wanna watch for is the distronic plus, and the rain sensing windshield wipers. Distronic plus is if you have a glossy front Star and the signal indicator has an icon that has a back and forward pointing arrow.
I had a crack in my Toyota windshield and one person said I didnt need to because I have adaptive high beams and radar paced cruise control (distronic mind you). I still went with the calibration. No problems.
