Warning "hood open" when driving

Hello, greetings to all members.
I am a new Benz owner
I get this warning message with beeps when driving "hood open" (2015 ML 350)
I checked micro switch in the hood latch, to my surprise, no cables are connected on both latch.
Also checked the surrounding areas for loose cables, non found
Worse still, wipers are not working
Is it possible the micro switch uses wireless signal?
Will appreciate suggestions on how to resolve this.

Nothing wireless, plain wires...the wipers will start only after the Open Hood message will be off.

The options - slam the hood harder....or, (yes, this will mess up your lines)....

Turn the bump stops at the front of the hood in a KNOWN AMOUNT. Put a dot on the circle at 12 o'clock. Then, screw them in three or four full turns (remember the number). Close the hood.

If the light turned off a sensor moved (or wore over time). If the light does not turn off, turn the bump stops back to their starting point and continue your search as to the break in the circuit.

Greetings,
Hi everyone
On removing the front grill for proper inspection, i found a cable harness tied to anti-roll sway bar.
It turned out to be what i needed, so i plugged them in and manually closed the latch to check
The wipers worked
Appreciate your guidance
