2012 ML350 Left and Right Front Parking Lamp Replacement
Hello,
Would like video or instructions to change right and left parking lamps (2825 SYLVANIA) for W166 chassis (2012 ML350 4Matic). Would I also need to reset the error code or would the message go away automatically after replacing? Also, FYI I see the message sporadically, sometimes it comes and sometimes it doesn’t. Is this normal? Mechanic is charging anywhere from $120-$250 for this simple change. Any help is appreciated please.
Since the bulbs come in pair, I am planning to change both but the message right now is front right parking lamp (see pic).
There are tons of videos about how to do the job, just search on youtube for something like "ML parking bulb change".
The error notification will disappear when the bulbs are replaced.
Yes, it can happen that those little bulb die multiple deaths until they go off completely. So sporadic on/offs can occur. Also when the connector on the bulb goes bad. Find a yt vid, open it and check. This shouldn't take longer than a few minutes.

I wish I had but although I can see the caps I am not sure which wire to pull out. The other side is tough to reach and again I want to know which connector to pull out. I also read these wires are prone to melting. I wish I had some sort of video. I actually installed the head lamps myself as there are YT videos for which I had to reach from the bottom removing the flaps on one of the sides. Bugs me that there aren’t any instructions or videos especially for the W166 chassis. That is why I posted the question here.
‘The YouTube video is W166 but that one is to the left side. Mine will need to be changed to the right if you see the pic and that’s a pain the butt. There are no videos anywhere. The car care kiosk video is entirely different, it’s the previous generation. I appreciate the reply though. Thank you.
