Today i was driving and decided to turn off the ac and lower the windows a bit to get some fresh air, after a while i decided to turn it back on and the vents weren't blowing air.
Anyone had a similar issue? If so, what could be the cause?

This same problem happened to me last month. A bunch of youtube videos showed that there is a white harness below the passenger side footwell that has two thick red wires running into it. The harness mostly like burned or warped to excessive heat. The fix is either to replace the harness or straight connect the two red wires. Good luck!
My car had an issue where the driver side ac vents wouldn't blow cold air at all but the passenger side worked fine. This occurred weeks after replacing the entire cooling system so new radiator hoses and thermostat. I saw on the forum to "re-set the ac flaps" by turning the dial from lo to high 6 times so the supposed internal flap would re-open to allow cold air but that didn't work. I thought the issue was related to the cooling system but I decided to try putting some $20 freon from walmart to re-charge the system and it surprisingly worked. As soon as the freon was re-charged the driver side started blowing cold again but not sure why low freon would cause it to not deliver cold air to both driver side vents but still give it to other parts of the car.
I don't think the wiring would go bad and my car is a texas car so it's been exposed to the brutal heat and honestly no parts have ever degraded due to the heat except for the radiator hoses. I would recommend to re-set the flaps or see if their is a way to reset the air conditioning. Also make sure their is no blockage inside your engine like leaves or large particulates cause that could prevent air flow and try to clean air filter as well.
