2015 Diesel ML350 4Matic transmission fluid change

- open the drain plug over a big drain pan (what, 10 litres size, I guess?)
- use a screwdriver to knock over the overflow tube (messy)
- drain
- remove/inspect & clean pan
- replace filter
- drain torque converter (or not)
- put it back together with new bolts
- torque the bolts (spec pls?)
- fill to overflow
- start & change gears a few times to clear bubbles
- heat up to operating temp
- fill/dribble out until full
- reinstall & torque drain plug (spec pls?)
Question: I wonder if I....
- threaded in a flexible vinyl throwaway tube (just enough to hold it) after opening the drain plug
- put screwdriver up the vinyl tube
- butt the screwdriver up to the handle to seal the vinyl tube
- knock over the overflow tube
- quickly pull out the screwdriver
Btw, any info on lubing creaking door hinges? No looseness yet, but needs lube.
I use whatever weasel **** in a can happens to be on the shelf at the moment on door hinges but if I have dry lube I'll go for that first and probably some kind of silicon goop next.
