SL 600 Where is the oil?

I am trying to use this very nice oil extractor from Harbor Freight that operates on air pressure.

It comes with metal and plastic probes to insert in the dip stick tube.

The metal ones would not fit so I tried one of the plastic ones.

It was tight but I pushed it in as far as it would go then pulled it out to see if I was in the oil. Pulled it out and nothing. Clean??

I then put the longest one they supplied. It's 3 foot long.
still no oil!

How long are the dip sticks on these cars? Mine doesn't have one.

The dash read out says it's full. What's the story?

Well,
I discovered you don't have to touch the oil to suck it out but you do need to seal of around the tube to get a good suction even though it was a tight fit.
