help winshield wiper reservoir

hi, i need to replace my windshield wiper reservoir. it's leaking. question, i've been able to get everything out, but cannot get the heating elements out. they are held on the bottom of the reservoir with a hex bolt which i cannot access from the lid opening. there appears to be a plug near the torx screw on the lower part of the reservoir, but it appears to be glued into the reservoir. is there a way to dislodge this plug and reinsert it after installing the heater elements without damaging the tank. any help would be appreciated. i have the repair c/d and it only says to remove the elements, but doesn't say how. 2004 cl600. winshield resrvoir part# 220 869 00 20.
thanks

I have a question...can you not patch your current reservoir?

Where is it leaking from?

Can you drill a hole in the old reservoir so you can access the bolt that retains the heating element?

Maybe the new reservoir already has a hole in that same location, and comes with a plug that is glued in after the heating element is installed.
