Installing and Bleeding Cl65 trunk tank???
I want to know how a trunk tank is hooked up on a V12 biturbo car???
Do you bleed it the same way as when you install aftermarket heat exchanger???
Where dos the feed and return connect in the cooling system???
I have a stock and a upgraded heat exchanger on the car and mezeire pump.

From what I understand if you set up the pump in the trunk and it always has water the bleeding process is much easier. If the pump uses the tank as a good supply to draw water from it should be able to push the air out of the system as bubbles. Its not really a pressurized system at that point. I could be totally wrong, but I remember someone saying it wasn't really an issue with a trunk tank. When the pump is mounted up front and you have several bends that lead up to the pump, the tendency to create air pockets leaving nothing for the pump to circulate is more likely to occur....Now go do it. hahaha.

I agree they both need to be under water, however it also depends on where the lines are ran (from front to back). If there are up and downs close to the pump to get around the front suspension and to avoid the cats and exhaust, you may have a tough time initially pulling the water thru since the pump is in the front. It may draw air. If the pump was located in the back it would have a constant flow close the tank and then what ever air that was in line would be pushed thru and bubble out. I'd guess it could be done with the pump up front with a little more caution and effort.

I agree they both need to be under water, however it also depends on where the lines are ran (from front to back). couple of things.
1. outlet of the tank goes to inlet for front pump
2. outlet for front heat exchanger goes to inlet of rear tank
3. you can bypass the filling point in the middle of the 2 top mount heat exchangers, by doing this the system will self bleed itself in via the rear tank

I looked at the fill station on my car. You dont need to use a Y to remove it. The line from fill station goes to a nipple on the line that runs from intercooler to intercooler. The nipple just needs a cap and hose clamp!!!! What do you think???

Trunk tank works great. Meziere works great in the front of car. Flows good. I had to use a wet vac to suck water thru the return line to get it flowing. But once I did that it was all good.

So did you add a supplemental HE as well? or just a trunk tank? Do you have a tune on the car? Assuming you are logging your IATs, overall how much cooler are you running?

Yes i did add a secondary heat exchanger. I have never recorded the before and after temps on the car! I dont have a tune yet. But i can feel the difference in the car. I runs longer and recovery time is quicker.
