Do the new V12 Coil-Packs tend to fail like the older ones?
Does anyone know if the new supposedly upgraded M275 Coil-Packs (with #07 and 08) tend to fail?

I replaced my '08 passenger side at 63K but driver side still going at 79K. Not sure if '08's are considered upgraded or not. If not I will update everyone when my replacement fails but might be a few years!

The old N/A V-12 had packs that failed prematurely. (They also had oil cooler leaks.)
The TT engines got improved packs that have much better, though finite, lifetimes. I'm not sure if they were updated again.
It looks like the 2014's use a different design.
My 2006 S65 had 75,000 miles on it and the original coil packs.

I just put a brand new coil pack on my 2001. Is that the same coil pack that could have been sold to someone with an 2003 or newer turbo model and worked the same? Only reason I ask is the part numbers were not the same on the stickers.

Yes, the upgraded versions used in the TT models became the replacement parts for all W220-era N/A V-12's.
