M275 Oem strength
hello
i'm doing some research for a future project
i could not really find any info by searching on the forum
what is max power you can get out of a oem engine
i mean the short block oem so easy to say what boost level can it
handle without breaking anything in the block l
and what power level would you get hp tq on crank or wheels
are the aftermarket internal parts for the m275
i found that pauter is making rods for the amg
but are there also parts for the 5.5
like rod pistons valves or springs bearing
why i'm asking i'm doing some research for a next project
maybe engine swap in to and old merc but the first with oem engine to some level and the maybe second stage upgrade the engine
if needed
i know speeddriven is making parts and software available
but can't really find anything if there are any internal engine mods needed
for the 1000+ version
i send them a mail last week but got no reaction back yet.
Greetings johan

I have not heard of any of these engines breaking with increased power. They whp is restricted by the turbo manifolds which is why those levels have not been explored. You can get 700-750bhp with cooling mods and a billet wheel upgrade on the turbos.
