The new part that you got from mb was the transformer? Not a coil... just to confirm.

thanks

WHEN I FIRST GOT THE CAR 3 YEARS AGO, IT NEEDED AT LEAST 1 COIL PACK.
I GOT 2 NEW PACKS, SUCKED BUT HAD TO BE DONE.
THEN LAST YEAR, A NEW TRANSFORMER.
YOU CAN BUY A SMALL COUNTRY FOR LESS THEN APPEASING A ANGRY V12 TT!!!!
THIS CAR WILL KILL A PEP BOY MECHANIC.
HARD TO CUT CORNERS WITH THIS CARS.
MUCH LUCK

I still think there would be a tremendous benefit in both longevity for the transformer and supply power stability (at higher loads/rpm) for the coils if a second transformer was wired in parallel. I haven't been able to come up with one plus a pigtail for a reasonable price though.

I DON'T KNOW MUCH.
BUT IF U U WANT TO KEEP A V12 TT HAPPY
FEED IT WELL, DO U KNOW HOW MANY 80K 120K CARS LINE UP FOR CHEAP REG GAS?
THEN A NEW 200 DOLLAR 12V BATTERY EVERY YEAR.
CHANGE ALL OILS OFTEN.
NEVER DRIVE IN SALT SNOW.
U MUST HAVE A SPARE CAR FOR THE DAYS YOUR V12TT IS SICK.
DON'T DRIVE IT LIKE ITS STOLEN EVERY DAY.
TRY TO REMEMBER THIS IS A SUPER CAR THAT ALMOST ALL OF US CANT AFFORD!
LOVE HATE

I hear ya. In 2 years I've spent half again what I paid for the car in maintenance/repairs. I use the yellow handle at my gas station though. And every year on the battery is insane if you're driving it daily...or even weekly. I usually get 4-7 years out of batteries in my drivers.

That's complete nonsense. I've heard people say that about these before and wonder what the hell they are doing to fry stuff. My battery has been dead several times when I let the car sit too long or left something on. You're not going to fry anything unless you're trying to start it with a battery charger or something stupid. A proper jump from another car or battery, or charging the existing battery proper overnight (clean DC sources as opposed to trying to start it from a high amp battery charger plugged into the wall. You'd be horrified to see what the voltage swings on those things are like) and there's virtually zero chance of hurting anything.

Well cars been in and out of the shop for 6 months. The motronic relay was stuck and car wouldnt turn over the other day. So somethimg that the relay controls is causing this i have a feeling. Just recalibrated the throttle body because thats on the circuit and my car seems to have fuel trim issues before it shuts down driver coil. Also the seconday air system throws a code but has been checked out multiple times. I dont mind buying parts if it is going to fix it because ive had this car for almost 10 years an love it when it runs right. Buying a new coil was a little annoying knowing that it wasnt the problem. I really dont think its the transformer but ill prob get on of those too after its all said and done. My thoughts are really going to be the ecu but who knows because it doesnt act like a bad ecu (fan on high). But if you unplug ecu overnight and reset everything it drives awesome for 2-3 days then starts acting up again once the systems checks are "complete" for smog. Mainly the secondary air and evap seem be the last to be complete and then back to 6 cyl on and off every other day.
Thanks for listening to my long-winded explanation. The codes by the way are usually p307-312 and p410. I got a p0120 the other day when the relay was stuck so thats why we thinking maybe the throttle body. Ill hopefully get it back today and drive it till systems are complete then cross my fingers and clinch my cheeks.
