Hit the track with the CL65

I wanted to get a baseline on my CL65. Judging by the dyno runs it is all stock. If you judge it by the scale at the Texas Motorplex it's a porky little puppy, too. The weight included a full tank of gas and my 235 lb bloated carcass behind the wheel.
However, it seems she will lift her skirt and run!

I dropped the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires to 30 psi and pulled into the staging lanes. No other prep.

I feel good about the times and look forward to dropping a tune and limited slip diff on the car.
I was car number 528.

Nice!

I'm not sure about your tune, seems like it may have been tweaked.... the RWHP looks about right, but the torque seems pretty high. Specs for the AMG M275 were 603HP/738TQ at the crank, and you normally lose 15-20% in the driveline. I've seen multiple sources state that torque was intentionally limited to 738 ft-lbs/1000 nm to ensure driveline reliability, which seems very likely given that even the higher HP version in the SL65 AMG Black Series (661HP) still had the same 738 ft/lb torque figure.

I'm well aware of the M275 output. My time at the MB dealer included the entire life cycle of the M275 engines.

The torque at the wheel surprised me but the HP tells me there has not been a tune. Those numbers fell exactly where I expected.
