New sparkplug (ifr6q-g) electrodes are dinkier/smaller diameter

Ordered a set of spark plugs for my engine from Rockauto. Some were "closeout specials." Cool. $4. Ended up with two of the same SKU unit, but different packaging, implying different age. One lists Niterra Co. LTD out of Aichi Japan, the other "NGK Spark Plug CO" out of Nagoya Japan. Assuming the Niterra box is the new one, since it looks less cool (no metallic ink, way more multi-lingual writing all over).
Anyways, the older spark plug Electrode tips are visually larger in diameter. I'll upload a pic when I'm not sitting on the couch.
Wonder if there are any implications for plug longevity or performance? Pic below.
