M279 oil dipstick?
Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if there is a factory MB oil dipstick for the M279 in a C217 S65? I see the tube and plug in the front left of the engine, and wondered if there was a factory one like I previously purchased years ago for my M113 C55. I'm seeing conflicting part numbers and engine codes....

Neither of my c215's from 05 came with one, so yours surely wouldn't have had one from the factory. MB intends for dipsticks to be used by a mechanic, and not remain in the engine all the time... hence the plug. You can buy a dipstick, though!
