Description:

So here is my high mileage E63 sedan. I purchased it from a client (who didn't want to put any additional money into it), with the intent of keeping it for some time to come while being my only daily driver. Since purchasing it, rebuilding it and cleaning it all up, a client of another friend decided to part ways with his 08 e63 wagon that I jumped on and purchased. Basically, the car I poured my spare time (about 6 weeks of evenings, long weeks and spare time during the days) and money into to make it what I wanted again, has to go to make room for the new car. Below is the list of parts (of which I'm sure to have missed a few parts) that I replaced since purchasing the vehicle.

My thoughts on this is that vehicle condition trumps vehicle mileage. Aside from a few small/light scratches and some rock chips from the mileage, this thing is a beauty and drives like new. Please message me for any further information. I am also daily driving this car as well (*see my shop's phone # on the back window picture) so the mileage will slowly increase. There may be a few additional things that may get replaced up until the time I do sell the car if something else pops up, but at this time everything has been working perfectly for the past 1500 miles or so since the initial teardown of the car. Tires are All-seasons and have about 75% tread life left.

Vehicle options: Distronic, Parktronic, Airmatic, Multicontour seats, Heated and cooled front seats, Fold-down rear seats, rear side door mesh covers (interior sun screens), rear windshield sun screen, Bi-xenon headlamps with curve lighting.

Engine R&I

Replace both throttle valves with good working used/tested units
Replace intake manifold gaskets with updated M159 gaskets and new bolts
Replace upper and lower fuel injector o-rings
Reseal intake manifold halves
Replace breather hose to front timing case cover and clean breather passage to rear of engine (breather valve)
Replace vacuum hose from intake to vacuum reservoir
Replace front and rear crankshaft main seals
Reseal bedplate with all new main bolts
Reseal upper and lower oil pans during reassembly
Install ARP camshaft adjuster/phaser bolts
Replace OEM adjuster friction discs to camshafts
Replace timing chain tensioner
Reseal front case timing cover with associated gaskets
Replace rear stamped steel sump oil pan (dented and bent)
Replace crankshaft position sensor
Replace oil filter and Mobil 1 0w/40 oil (changed again 10 miles after reassembly)

Replace both front engine mounts
Replaced all front subframe bolts during reassembly

Performed power steering fluid flush
Performed road force balance to all 4 wheels and tires
Performed 4-wheel alignment with Distronic adjustment at dealership
Replaced fuel tank (with pumps and filter) at dealership under warranty extension
Recharge A/C system

Replace brake hoses to calipers with Goodridge braided stainless lines
Replace front brake rotors (single piece w204 C63 style)
Replace front brake pads and sensor
Inspect, repack, reseal and adjust both front wheel bearings
Replace all 10 front lug bolts
Replace both rear Air bellows (Arnott)
Replace both front upper ball joints
Replace both front lower ball joints
Replace front and rear driveshaft flex discs
Replace driveshaft center carrier bearing
Replace Steering column module
Replace steering column srs harness with updated part (bulletin)
Replace steering wheel bolt to column

All dents removed with PDR repairs (except 1 small 1 that we missed at the front of the roof)
Install legal window tint with windshield banner
*28% front and rear doors, 5% rear windshield and banner
All software updates performed at dealership for all available modules

At this point, the only negatives to this vehicle are: high mileage (which seems to scare everyone), aftermarket windshield with 2 or 3 small chips (already treated and no cracking) and not in the driver's vision area, small wear on the center console where the driver would rest his right elbow, small amount of cracking in the leather on the steering wheel, broken passenger side sun visor mirror cover.

The maintenance is insane! I've driven a few high mileage Benz's that have been completely fine, highway milers. I'm sure this is no different, GLWS!
